Is anybody else lovin' that new limited edition YFZ - the yellow one with the vintage graphics? I was mad when they got rid of the candy-apple red frame, but I can't complain now! Now that I sold my 250R, I'll be lookin for one of those in about a year or so. Anybody on this forumn have one of those yet?

I love that color scheme! Makes me remember the old Tri-Z's back in the 80's.

i thought the guy backed out of the deal and you still had the R? when did this happen?

the YFZ is nice, no matter the color. i agree about the red frame. that red/white combo was excellent. YFZ is the best new 250R replacement you can buy other than another 250R, but evidently you want something else. IF the improved 06 YFZ was the 04 YFZ when i got my 04 450R, there is a strong possiblity that i would have bought the YFZ instead.

ahh tri-z s. i used to want one sooo bad. my friend got one, but for some reason it was always a pain in @ss to start. it was fast though. i liked the red/white one of that model as well. did they make a black/red one too or am i dreaming? i thought they made a limited edition...

why is it that yamaha and suzuki seem to be more prone to making limited edition models than honda? i dont ever recall a limited editon atc200x, atc 250r, trx250r, x, ex, etc from them...hmmmm...did i just block it out or did it ever happen? i dont recall it if it did.

No, this was another guy. The buyer your referring to that I posted about did back out of the deal. I had my R listed in the cycle trader and it took about three months to sell. I'm in college and I just don't have the time to ride it. And when I did have the time to ride it, I couldn't afford the maintenance of a 20-year-old machine. I love that bike and no matter what I buy next year, nothing will ever replace it. I spent about a year and a half and around $4,000 building it into one of the best 250Rs around. The great thing of the whole deal is that I sold it to a real nice guy who I know will appreciate it. When he picked it up he couldn't stop shaking. He told me that he couldn't believe he finally owns a 250R like this, so I know it went to a good home and that he will take care of it. He even told me that I could come ride it whenever I want. Real nice guy, I couldn't have sold it to a more straight-up person.
