Yamaha Warrior 350 need help starting

Default Yamaha Warrior 350 need help starting

Just brought this Yamaha. When i push the starter button sometime it just click and sometime it turn over. But i have to just keep on pushing the button before it will turn over sometime. Why is it doing this

Well really it sounds like your battery is weak...Put it on the charger for a little...If thats not it.. It will prob be your starter relay..

I put a volt meter on the battery and it got like 12.3-12.6 volts..

well try this then.. Run you a ground wire and hold it on the base of your starter...And run you a hot wire and touch it to the bolt on top of the starter..Were the stater wire is... And if it turns it over good. Your prob is in the wireing.. if it dont your prob going to have to buy a new starter...

same thing happend to my friends 350 rap. we didnt know what to do so we just fooled around with battery and cleaned all the junk out of it and it now works perfectly

charge your battery --- thats just enough voltage to make the starter turn a couple times.

if it still doesn't start after a 2A charge for 4-5 hrs... then tap the starter lightly with the handle of a screwdriver while trying to start it.

if it starts, then its the starter.. if it doesn't -- umm lemme know

Default Yamaha Warrior 350 need help starting

I bought a 98 350 warrior, it hasa fmf exshast and performance racing clutch, ibought it and th eguy told me it needed a new cable ( it didn come with one)and when i was checkin the clutch, i pushed the lever on the motor (where the clutch cable connects) an di put the atv and gear and with the lever pushed in it should of been in neutral but it tried to take off. anyone can help me??
