Just ordered the complete system from Big Gun ($499). They just recently changed their system so that the back end can be removed and a spark arrestor can be inserted. This price includes the spark arrestor. Some vendors may offer it a little cheaper, but if it's a lot cheaper you may want to make sure it's the older set up and not the new one? They also offer a silencer core(?) that can be inserted into the silencer to lower the decibels. They say it's pretty loud. A good write-up on Big Gun can be at...

I noticed you have the Pro-motion twist throttle. Do you like it enough over the thumb bar to reccomend it?

I just got off teh phone with DMC. they have a new exhaust called the alien for the raptor. This system gives a very nice overall performance gain from low to top! A stock raptor noise level is at 92-94dbs and the new Dmc ALIEN is somewhere around 102-104dbs. Not to bad for the nice hp gain of approximately 11hp from this system. I also spoke with the owner of GRAYDON PROLINE about there system and the feb dirtwheels will test there raptor exhaust, he said the test crew at dirtwheels sadi there syatem was by far the fastest on the market but also the LOUDEST!!!!

Raptorrider2001,
The twist grip is the best I've ever used, however, it does depend on where I'm riding. In the mountians on a 8-9hr ride it is great. If I'm riding in the terrian park or mxing I like to use my thumb bar. It easier for me(my opinion)to use body english with the thumb bar. I have mine set up so I can swap back and forth in about 15min.. My twist is also only a 1/4 turn, which makes it twitchy but fun.
