Default Yet another warrior problem

ok this is the deal, im tryin to sell my warrior cause its nothin but headaches, the only problem is that over the past month its been getting more and more harder to start. Wat happens is i turn everything on and press the starter button, all i hear is the low click from the mess of electrical things under the rear fender. at first it started after pressing the button like five times without anything happening now it takes closer to twenty. Also when it does start it starts right up without trying. I tried it with holding in the clutch and without, same difference. I also tried a new sparkplug helped make it start even better when it did start but nothin really. I recently got the starter relay and coil or soemthin fixed and the starter wroked fine. Could this be a low battery or something worse like a bad starter or starter clutch. Or is it the button maybe. I need help quick so i can fix it asap.

I had a really similar issue with my Wolverine. Long story, short, it was the brushes. Try tapping your starter with the handle end of a screw driver. If it starts after that, it's the brushes.

I put in new brushes, lightly sanded the commuter, cleaned out the grooves and it works like a champ now.

sounds like the starter..
pull it off once.. only 2 bolts and then the power wire.... and then pull the 2 bolts out that hold it togehter and see what it looks like.. or smells like..

The brushes send the current to the motor. When they're worn out of spec, they can't send the proper amount of current and won't turn the starter over. In addition, when they're worn, the old material tends to clog the commutor.

How much are they? Depends. I ordered a set for $14 or so. I had to solder one to the post on the starter. You may want to check with your dealer and see what they offer.
