Agreed but in every other way except for price the 400 would be a better bike.

thats exactly what i was lookin into when i got mine...a new 05 blaster, used 01 warrior or used 00 400ex that i got...all i do is trail ride and XC type riding and small jumps nothing HUGE and just roads and open fields and all that stuff and my friend i ride with has a blaster with a lil bit in it mostly the regular mods everyone gets on their blasters (pics of his in my pics thing under my name) and mine just the way it is i dont wanna say SMOKES but it beats his in most conditions...i tested the 01 warrior with liek nerfs, bumper, tires, supertrapp slap-on and it was pretty good i guess but then i road the 400 and it had more power and torque in it and it was the sam price almost...$2550 for the 400ex mint and $2800 for the warrior fair condition...so id ssay if u dont mind the no reverse issue which if your considering the blaster like recon99 said then go 400...but if your dead set on blaster or warrior id say go warrior youve even got the 300ex to look at but thats a whole nother conversation to talk about lol

I know this thread is old but i wanted to thank everone for all their great help and knowledge. I purchased a 1979 Yamaha IT175 (dirtbike). The motor is identicale to the one in the blaster besides the bigger bore but same stroke. I found the motor to preform quite well for such an old one. I figure that this is because it is in a 100 or so pound lighter frame. So, as i put quading on hold my bike will be getting all of the attention.
