Default wolverine neutral light

I read on here a few weeks ago about an adjustment/repair that had to do with the wolverine starting in gear and the neutral light not working consistantly. I am having these same issues and I cannot find the post for the repair. Could someone please repost or send a link if they remeber the post.

Thank You

Are you talking about the shift linkage needing adjustment? If so there is a lock/jam nut on the shaft and you can set it so when it's in neutral the shifter is straight up at vertical and all should be well.

Is this the problem you are referring to?

NO, I was looking for a thread referring to a guy who recently noticed his ATV would start in gear when it had not before and at that time he realized his neutral switch was not working either. I believe it was some type of adjustment for the parking brake possibly or rear brake possibly?

I would like to see info on this also...I read in the manual that Wolverine's can be started in any gear, but the recommend that it be in neutral..My neutral light don't work at all,I'm baffled by this one..I thought it may have burned out till I seen all the wolverine threads here with neutral light problems. But none seem to have a cause or a fix for the problem :/

BTW I don't recall reading the thread you were speaking of,and I read most of the Wolverine threads going back to 2002 last night lol

I know it is on here somewhere. the fix had something to do with the switch associated with the left hand brake. apparantly by default the wolverine is only supposed to be turned on in gear when this brake lever is pulled. well the repair had something to do with getting this adjusted properly and it would allow the switch to come back on.

I had the problem on my beartracker. it was a wire that got disconnected. Check down below by your shifter. If you have no neutral light, pull your left
brake lever and try to start it. If it starts it's either your neutral light switch or the wire going to it popped off the stud. Check by the shifter for loose wires.
The stud is located behind the clutch case, towards the back.
