I have a 2003 Kodiak 450, got back from a ride the other day and noticed oil leaking from the boot that connects the drive shaft to the rear arm. At first I thought it was drive shaft oil but with further inspection (pulled the boot back) I see that it is coming from the direction of the engine. Looking at the schematics for the Middle Drive Gear it looks like it could be a bum oil seal? I'm hoping that's all it is. Does/did anyone else have this problem and what should I do? Big ride coming up and I would like to get it fixed fast. Thanks for any info.

 

Rip into it and replace the seal. Ive been a member here for awhile and have never heard of this problem.
