http://www.geocities.com/gtthunder.geo/testbed_set.html

here is my original dyno chart with a slipping clutch so we couldn't get any tuning done. The clutch is now fixed and am waiting on the weather . I have stage 2 porting by gthunder.com, t5 pipes and jet kit, v force reeds , k&n , 4 deg timing key, 19cc cool head. oh and stock bore wiseco pistons with nothing done to them. I also pulled the crank and had it welded($50) for piece of mind. I have bone stock carbs and 320 mains w 35 pilots.

btw Lazarus Sommers is a great guy to deal with and he charges $300 for a pair of bansheee cyls done to stage 2 like mine. He does stage 3 but for general riding he does not recomend it. I am very happy with mine, plenty off bottom end power.

Thats over $1000 more than a raptor. How do yuou get same price? 70hp but not to good handling or reverse. J/K

banshees can be had for 5700 out the door compared to raptor last I heard was 6800 out the door so where do you get 1k more. And for handling I think the raptor is way to top heavy and wants to tip over easily. Just my opinon from riding both. You got me on the reverse though

I think if u fixed a Banshee up and u fixed a ds650 up the Banshee would win. but stock, the 650 would win. My opinion based on what Ive seen out of them both.

Like others have said,
Stock for Stock the DS650 would HAVE to destroy the Banshee since my Raptor does and I think the DS and Raptor would be close in a race. However if you put some good mods on a "Shee the comparisons really pretty much end there.

Blstrguy,

I'll have to agree with the power of the Banshees, since I swap off and ride with a bunch of modded ones weekly. The high center of gravity took a lot of getting used to (I did an end-over-end on the intracoastal canal wall...luckily I left it in gear and the water didn't consume it...no loss but bars, etc.) Anyway, sorry Jimmy, indirectly this is about dragging...I do it a lot against the Banshees; Overall, every time I ride with them, both the shees and myself gain a little insight on the versatility of the Raptor...not knocking any ride, because I'd love to have a Banshee to scream on, but for stock power, speed, riding position, and oh yeah, ability to tow a Modded Banshee three miles through soft sand, (they were especially glad that I was there that day) the Raptor does have it's advantages. I try risky things on the Banshee that I wouldn't dare on a Raptor, especially in steep hill climbs, so it's probably a good thing I don't own one...too old to heal fast! Just some observations; Ride-out people!
