i have a blaster and my clutch wore out i was wondering if anybody knows if those $40 tusk clutch kits are any good or not. kinda wanna go cheap but good. they say they have stronger steel plates on rockymountainatv.com but i dont know anything about clutch kits. thanx for any responses

I've used two of them, one on a banshee and the other on a 250r. The tusk worked just fine, it actually seemed to work better than the Barnett clutch kit I had in the banshee before. I'd say it'd be just fine for a blaster.

Tusk products are cheap chinese junk. Every tusk product I ever owned completely disappointed me, even for the price it sucks. There have been more than one complaint about tusk clutches either slipping right out of the box, or being ready for the dumpster within a few rides. For the extra 20 bucks, why not buy an EBC clutch, something that's actually got a reputation and has been around long enough to prove itself as a quality piece? That's my 2 cents, do it once and do it right.

alright man ill take your word for it cuz those ebc had a better discription but i never really heard about the tusks but now i guess i know cuz they suck ***** im sick of having my clutch go out and having the mechanic rebuild it so i just want a tough one that will last especially with the people i let drive it the chicks around here arent fast learners tahx for the advice

What kind of clutch have you been using in it that they've been wearing out so quick? A blaster shouldn't be very hard on clutches.
If you want a clutch that's really heavy duty, DP clutches are, in my opinion, the best one on the market without going to a complete aftermarket setup like the $1000 hinson kits.

its just a stock 99 blaster that i bought about 2 years ago and the guy that owned it b4 me seemed like an idiot and now i think i just shouldve waited to get a banshee cuz my sisters husband has one and those things have nuts when that powerband kicks in. ive always been a banshee fan.
