91 ymf 250 starter problems help

it seems to spinn like a buger but not long enought to start the quad
- new barrery check good !
-starter motor serviced by specialist !
-checked out the rollers and gears and they are good !
-it turns motor over but only for a second then it disenguages !

It might be the starter relay. Try bypassing the relay (really just a solenoid) with a wire from the hot battery post to the starter. If it works, the starter is fine and it's another issue with the system, whether it's the relay, starter button, or whatever.

the starter seems to spin ok and will turn the engine over for a few seconds but wont stay enguaged long enough to start it! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] once it turns the motor over it will just disenguage and spin making that buzz noise that a electric motor makes when uncoupled ! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

i might be way off so someone chime in if i am.
does the ymf250 have a one way bearing? if it does then that could definately cause the problem.
the only other thing i can think of is that your missing some teeth on the starter, the flywheel, one way, etc...
