1990 moto4 250
My 1990 moto4, 250, that I just got from a deceased relative started acting up in the woods. It backfired a couple times and then would barely move along. It seemed to idle o.k. but to give it gas it would just jerk along. Anyhow we took of the throttle cap going into the carb and when we put it back together the throttle wouldn't work. Did we loose a part? Are there any free online service manuals for this model? I appreciate any help.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Sounds like you mis-aligned the slide putting it back in, which caused it to seat in reverse direction and the idle ramp is sitting on the guide pin. Just pull it back out, turn it a full turn and put it back in.
As for what caused your running problem to start with, considering it started this "on the fly", my best guess is that the intake manifold between the carb and engine has blew causing a lean condition.
