I think you'll have to be bringing that to the dealer if you want to get the clutch fixed.

Well depending on his mechanical ability he could do it himself all it requires to repair what is wrong with his is removing the primary and repacking the grease in it. If he wanted to do the clutch kit even that is not that hard if you have the right tools.

Default Wolverine top speed 37mph?!?!

hey, i was just wondering if you ever got this problem resolved? I am going through the same thing.......so bad in fact that yamaha delivered the wolvy to my house, put in a new cdi, belt, and threw in a tow hitch.........PLUS refunded my money for parts and labor due to the fact that they could not resolve my problem. same deal though, did close to 60mph, had it in mud/water up to the handlebars...and now 37 to 40 tops.............very frustrated in florida....PLEASE HELP!!!!

First drain the clutch housing, see if there is any water inside there, next pull the clutch housing off to see if your primary clutch has slung the grease out of it. Finally if that does not help anything, pull your carb apart and clean it there has been several instances of water or trash getting inside the carb on these wolverines through the carb vent hose or the intake. You can search the past postings on the wolverine to see about them. I have never had it happen to me personnaly but there has been a lot of people who have had the problem and fixed it by cleaning their carb jets and the needle, plus I have heard of blowing compressed air through the vent tube clearing the trash out.

Well, i appreciate it, i think i will try the carb...although i am no ace mechanic i am somewhat confident. it does sound like it is an air to fuel mixture to me. it just gets to that top speed and sort of stutters. it acts like it is starving for somrthing. i thought it was the coil, but i replaced it, along with the wire and plug. I am not to familiar with messing with the jetting. any further info you could provide would be much appreciated.
thanks
