Default DS650 vs 700refi

I ride in an area where there are alot of column dumps(monterous coal/shale piles from previous mining)I was wondering if anybody has any personal experience or opinions with either of these quads and would know which is the best hill climber.

i like the raptor 700 over the ds650. i dont ride in places like you talk about but i do ride alot of sand and hard packed desert with narly hills. the reason i like the raptor over the ds650 is because it has alot of its wieght in the front due to a compossite (sorry bad spelling) frame. i also like it more because it is fuel injected. very good stock suspestion also. another reason i whould buy it over the ds650 is because they dont make them anymore and the aftermarket support and just overall of finding of parts will most likly start to be harder to find.

IMO the ds650 is more of a desert quad than a hill shooter

Default DS650 vs 700refi

I just purchased an 08 Raptor, my previous quad was a 01 DS. That being said I never once had a problem with my DS trying to come over backwards on me. The DS is a great quad and as much as I told everyone I would never buy a Craptor I had to stuff my foot in my mouth as soon as I rode a new 08. The Raptor is just as good a hillclimber you just have to position your body a little more. Everywhere else the Raptor is hands down better, Im not trying to start a fight on here these are just my opinions from owning both. Hope my rambling helped.

I do alot of climbing on my yfz450. 450's can handle any hill as sjbr549 said but, the plus on the 700 is that it will lug. 450's must rev for power. I doubt you were considering a 450 since it wasn't mentioned but just something to think about if for some reason you do.
