Increasing the jet size will not stop you from fouling plugs..It will likely make it worse if the plugs are fouling due to a rich mixture....Does the engine burn oil as that will foul plugs as well?...Dropping the needle one notch may eliminate the fouling or perhaps your idle mixture isn't set properly?...Is the pilot jet stock?

before i answer that...... before i started the jet change i dubble checked my plug and i was wrong it's not white it's more of a grey than white. so with me being wrong i'm guessing everything is fine. like i said it's grey not white. so as of yet i did not change the jet yet because the plug is grey so i figured i would find out if this is ok and it will be fine???? if so than i will leave the 147.5 main jet in it insted of putting the 150 in.

no it doesn't burn any oil at all. i think it's my air fuel mixture yes the pilot jet is stock

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: oldyeller

Technically you are correct but installing a larger main jet will make it richer across the entire range..Otherwise the larger main would have no affect until you were wide open which is not true..I would replace the main jet and then if needed try fine tuning with the needle.</end quote></div>

I'm confused. Technically I'm correct or technically I'm incorrect? I don't 100%understand how carbs use the different jet so please enlighten me.
