Does anyone know if setting the damping on the rear shock to soft will make it bottom out easier?

Why would someone want to set it to the hard position? Thanks.

Yes it can make it bottom out much easier. Normally, if the shock valving and spring is corret for the riders weight / ability, the rebound and compression clickers will be set close to the middle and will just get turned one or two clicks to fine tune the ride. Why do you want to back yours out all the way? How it the suspension acting. Bad settings on the front shocks can make the rear act funny and visa versa.

Hey congrats on the EX. I remember when you were trying to decide on which on to get. Have you got to take it out yet?
Anyway I found this great article about suspensions awhile back, here's the link,
