My buddy had a Warrior with the old 500 cc stroker that you can't get anymore, and he was running a 400EX carb that worked pretty good. I had the stock carb on mine that had the 446 stroker from FST and it worked good. They say the Edelbrock carbs are the carb to have on the Warrior, but at $300-400 they should be! The main problem with switching carbs to one that isn't designed for a Warrior is your airbox may have to be modified to fit the new carb. This can sometimes be a small headache.

The FST 446 was alright, but it didn't impress me any. Maybe I was expecting too much. It wasn't worth what it cost - about $1500 total. I could have sold my Warrior, put the $1500 with the money from the Warrior, and bought a Raptor 660 and been faster with the stock engine. The longer stroke means the connecting rod that connects the piston to the crank is longer, which means the piston travels further up and down in the cylinder, which gives you more compression and more power. Anytime you modify something, you lose some reliability, so the best thing to do is keep the engine as reliable as possible for trail riding, which does not mean putting a stroker in it. The stroker creates so much pressure, I had problems with mine blowing out the head gasket. My buddies with the 500 cc had oil leaking out of every gasket on the engine where the pressure just pushed the oil out. He also had trouble with his crankcase gasket leaking oil and had to replace it several times, so really it's more headache than it's worth and not as reliable as other mods.

using a z400 carb is another good choice, i think you gotta use the raptor 350 intake boot and then use the z400 carb with the cable and throttle, and after dialing it in they work really good.im still debating on whether to get an edelbrock for my warrior but i might sell my warrior and get a 400ex or a predator. the way my warrior runs now it keeps up with stock 400's but it wont get much faster without putting to much money into it and it wont be worth it.
