Default Wolve450 4x4 thing of 26" or 27" Zilla or mud lite tires which one?

I have a wolverine 450 for my son and we do a lot of mud riding and some trail but soft sand. We were thinking of upgrading the tire to either a zilla 26" or 27" ( heard they run small) or a mud lite 26". We alreay have the ss112 rims and he is a light rider about 75lbs.

Which would you go with?

The Zilla I was going with the 26 till I heard they run small and it would bew like a 25" thats why I was thing of the 27" Zilla.

if you guys like to mud alot I'd go with the mudzillas, the mudlites are good on overall trail riding but i wasn't impressed too much on the mud, unless you get the mudlite XL. But yea the actual tire size will be under, my 27 589s are really only 26

Remember it is only a wolverine450, I thought the mudzillas were heavy and Zillas were lighter.

o nvm i thought you were talking about mudzillas, well the zillas look like they would still perform better in the mud than the mudlites, my boss' daughter had the mudlites on her recon and they had terrible wear (almost bald after about a year or so). If you do get the zillas i would stick with 26's to keep the power in the thicker mud

I might go with the Zilla but maybe the 27 since it would really be like a 26

stay far away from the mudzilla and the mudlite 589 ! way way to heavy for a wolverine......

the zilla is a great choice....

i run 26 x 11 rear
and 26 x 9 fronts

that is the way to go in my opinion....

as for power get a pipe and jet kit, and you will want to do some sort of clutch work....

good luck...

ive had no problems with clutch or anything with my 27" 589s on my big bear 400, but it does have a real low first gear, are the wolvy's auto?

I know the villas run short that is why I was going for the 27"s plus we have a clutch kit and the HAUK mod. My kid who rides the bike only weighs 75 lbs too.

Do you also think there is room for the extra inch?

i lifted my big bear to have enough room for the 27's

Before lift with 25" stocks

After lift with 27" ITP

If the wolvy comes with 26" stocks it should fit 27s

my 26 inch fit fine i would think there would be room for 27, i personally think 26 is enough for a wolverine without having a low gear... good luck tho...
