Default Mounting tires at home?

Take it from someone who has done it several times......take it to the dealer...... because for every time it goes perfect, there will be 10 times where it is a total headache. I once spent the better part of a day trying to get the front tires on a Warrior to seat and after about 100 different tricks from everyone to try we finally got them by running a rope around the center of the tire and twisting it with a breaker bar to get equal pressure around the bead, then we needed about 200psi of air blasting through for about 15 minutes while we tried to work the bead to grab........ we tried soap, glue, gas, tire seal, tire bead and anything we could try....we even tried a controlled "explosion" method of using butane (on the advice from another expert) and NOTHING would work...... I will never bother to do it again myself if I can help it......

Looks like I'll have to pay the $25 per tire at the local stealership! I called every Walmart and Sams Club within 10 miles ( a total of 10 or 12 locations) and every one of them told me they don't do ATV tires. I would have loved to get the $2 or $5 dollar deal there!

$25 per tire? That is ridiculous...... my local dealer will do it for $10......... in fact the highest I've seen is $12 per tire.....I would call every local auto shop and ask them if they can do it...... anyone with a newer tire machine should be able to do it.

It is generally around 40-50 to mount 4 car tires so $25 each for ATV tires is a joke......

I had my ATV tires mounted for $5 a tire at a local automotive shop. Well worth it because of the headache of trying to do it home.

I took my tires into a walmart who said they could do atv tires. Turns out they couldn't and totally destroyed the bead on my rim. They did get me a new rim but my wheeler was down for 5 weeks. I was po'd. I now have a awesome looking itp alum rim on a shitty looking wheeler.
