Do a compression test on it (Just something simple like taking the plug out and putting your finger over the hole and turning it over will be sufficient. If it blows your finger off, we have 2 of the 3 necessary components to fire. IF you have compression, then it sounds like you need to do a thorough carb cleaning and I would go ahead and check your valve adjustments as well while you were at it.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: beefy46172

If it was the stator you wouldn't have good spark. I can't believe no one has mentioned the parking brake sensor yet. Play with your park brake and see if that fixes your problem</end quote></div>

i guess you didnt read my posts well, cuz i mentioned the parking break sensor...lol

carbs can be real tricky, if you havent had alot of experience with them they really can be a pain, the stock screws on carbs are a real pain i usually push down on the screwdriver real hard so they dont strip, best thing to do is replace them with allen head, from autozone or fastenal,if there are stripped out take some needle nose vise grips to it and they will come off.i would suggest getting a buddy who is a mechanic or taking it to a dealer to look at the carb cause i got a feeling something isnt right in there, most the time when people clean carbs i dont think they do it right, it takes some time to do it right, dissasemble every piece and shoot cleaner through all ports and air through them and look closely at every part to make sure there no dirt, the piece that the needle slides in is a common piece that gets dirty, you have to gently push them out from the top i believe and youll see the little holes that it has, this is my guess to whats dirty, but i could be wrong, good luck.

nah, if you look on your clutch perch youll see a wire that runs down, pull it up and take a look at it, it should be diconnected or pluged into itself, i belive its a male and a female plug end, i took mine and plug it into itself to create like a loop, so its just hanging.

Yeah the old wires just need to be connected to each other. If you are getting no fuel then make sure you are getting fuel to the carb (past the petcock on the tank) and take the carb apart and clean every last small orifice on it, with paperclips and whatever to go through each and all of them. Take the jets out and clean them thoroughly as well. Carb cleaning is a pain in the ***, but that is definitely your problem.
