Default Warrior reverse issue

I am lookng at buying a 01 Warrior. The machine is in great shape, not used much and still has the original tires on it (only 25% used). When you put the machine in reverse, back up a little then pull in the clutch, reverse will not disengage immediately, it keeps rolling backwards. A couple of times I even had to pull on the brakes to get it to stop / disengage. Any ideas as to what this is caused by? Expensive or cheap fix? Thanks for any assistance.

When you use the clutch? Reverse works when tranny is in neutral???? Might be a clutch issue????

From any gear including neutral, from a full stop, pull in the clutch, select reverse gear, let out the clutch and back up. When it is time to stop backing, when you pull in the clutch, the machines keeps backing up as if you had not pulled in the cluch at all for 4-5 seconds, then usually eventually it will disengage, sometimes however only with the help of the brake. This does not happen in any of the six forward gears.
Thanks.

Something I have noticed on my Warrior is when the clutch needs adjusted reverse if the first place it shows up, sounds like you may need to put some slack in the clutch cable.
