Default Clutch kit...

I found a place online that sells a clutch kit for my ATV for $180 or something like that. I was told that I would benefit from it seeing how I went from 25" to 27" tires. My question is: Is it really worth doing a clutch kit?

Will I notice any difference in torque and power? I am looking to get more low end torque at start off.

Also, in 07 I purchase a power tip for my muffler. Basicallly it is a tip that makes the tip exit straight instead of down and has a wider port. It also eliminates the spark arrestor, or if I want, I can do some mods and attach the SA to the tip. It made the muffler louder and give it a more agggressive sound, but I think it might have cause to much back pressure to be lost due to no spark arrestor. I recenty put the spark arrestor back in with original exit tip and felt like I gained a little TQ now that the spark arrestor is back in. With those bigger tires , the ATV doesn't burn out easily on the soil. I remember the stock tires would burn out, because they are smaller, but they also were proned to going flat way too much!

So will this clutch kit help compensate with the bigger tires?

I was just searching through my FAVS and no longer have that link to the clutch kit i had saved. Which clutch kit would you recommend?

Making the weakest point of the drivetrain stronger will always help performance. Replacing the clutch is a good idea if you buy larger tires. Make sure you do plenty of searching and read reviews of different clutches. Dont just run out and buy one.

Are they fairly easy to do? The clutch kit work that is? I was watching a video about how to replace a clutch kit online, though I do beleive a special type of tool is needed to take off the clutch?

lol...they aren't too bad.. I disassemble mine twice a year to clean out due to abusive riding habits...of course I do weigh 300lbs ... and yes a kit will noticeably help your hole shot acceleration with oversize tires(probably will also lose some top end speed but needs all depend on riding style) If you dont already have a shop manual they are cheap on cd on ebay!
