Default Rear Shock for Warrior 350?

I picked up 1987 Warrior 350 and the rear shock is gone what other models shocks will fit a warrior?

How hard is it to redo the tranny on a warrior? Should i buy stock tranny parts or afterkarket? It seems like it does not wont to go in 5th gear or when it does it slips out so going buy the book i bought i should need to replace the 5th gear wheel in the trans. It looks hard to put togeather though.

a rear shock from another warrior, blaster or banshee will work i believe, dealing with the tranny on warriors isnt to bad but it can be a pain since its a 6 speed with reverse, your shifting problem might just be a bent shift fork or something wrong with your shiftdrum maybe, warrior trannies are bulletproof i hardly ever hear about warriors transmissions having gears break or anything.

It does not shift very easy into any gear. What could be wrong? The guy i bought it from shifted gears when it was off without using the clutch.

It goes into reverse and like i said when in 4th gear or so trying to get into 5th takes a few tires heck im not really sure if ive ever had it in 5th, 6th gear.

Thanks for your help

i doubt its a gear, most likely its the shiftstar, shiftdrum or a bent shift fork, it might even be something messed up around the clutch, when its shut off can u shift it up to 6th? it helps to rock the quad back and forth while trying to do this.
