electric starter not working

Default electric starter not working

hey guys i have a 1992 razz zuma yamaha jog moped and it runs perfect but my elcetric starter dont work all wires are connected from the button down no shorts no disconnections and the battery works perfect but it wont electric start and every thing is conected the right way so if any ideas on how to start it with it or if you no the reason pleas help and the fuse on it is good pleas help me

They have a starter relay, not sure where they are located on the moped but if it goes out the button won't work. If you know enough you can jump the starter to make sure it isn't that,if not don't try it. Call your Yami dealer.

solenoid maybe, does it make a clicking sound or is it silent when u hit the button?

it makes no sound at all, it dose nothing

Sounds like relay, that won't make any noise at all

if you have a test light you can narrow things down also, but yea a relay is possible im not sure how that bike is designed but its somewhere along those lines.

all i know is that the button for the electric start has a blue wire with a white stripe it runs all the way to the cdi straight to it and then the battery wire runs to the cdi and the wire that connectics it connects into another wire which connectics into the cdi

Look for a heavy red wire that runs from the positive terminal of the battery, it should lead to the relay.
