I have a 1989 moto 4 350 that for some reason won't go into reverse. It all started after I did an oil change. Don't think that had anything to do with it, but that is when it started. I tried to adjust the rear brake as you must step on the brake while pulling the shift lever back to the reverse position. Any ideas?

 

don't you have to be in first gear to shif in reverse.
