new problem with warrior

Default new problem with warrior

OK got it to start it ended up being my kill switch it's bad now that it started I was about to ride it when I looked at the exhaust it was cherry red why ????? I'm getting tired Of these bikes its so about to go up for sale if can't nobodey help me with this its gone I'm getting a honda

lol, usually when the pipe gets red its from the bike running lean due to a dirty carb or incorrect jetting.

yeah my 01 warrior is doin the same thing. Question tho if its running tolean and i have a 148 jet in it whats the best way to get it to where it needs to be. it also is also popping from the silencer when i let off the throttle i assume thats because the same issue. any ideas

When you cleaned the carb, did you just pull needles, do a little squirty with carb cleaner and call it a day? There is a lot more to it than that. If you can find someone with an ultrasonic cleaning tank, pay them to run it through a cycle. Chemicals are OK, but to really clean them, use an ultrasonic machine.

Now when you park it for any long period of time (2 weeks or more) make sure that you run the engine with the fuel petcock turned off so you run it out of gas. The poor quality we get these days with all the corn based alcohol in it will gum a carb in short order. I am betting in this case, you have a high speed circuit that is gunked.
