Default Engine misses in reverse

Anyone have any idea why my 2004 bruin 350 4x4 would miss in reverse but is fine in forward? Does it have some type of safety feature that limits the speed in reverse that is malfunctioning? I first noticed in when stuck in a snow bank and it probably starts at 3000 rpm. Any Ideas, Thanks in advance.

It's a safety feature. Most have an override button on the bars.

No override button, I would think that would just limit your speed, but I was stuck so it's a pain if your trying to get unstuck and the engine's missing.

Yes it's a pain.

its a reverse rev limiter it can be bypassed by shorting out or grounding out the positive wire coming from the reverse switch. i bypassed it on my grizzly 600 by grounding out the positive wire to my battery.

Thanks Doctorturbo that sounds like the ticket. Couldn't find any mention of it in the handbook or the service manual, you think they would bring that up.
