heavier springs for wolverine clutch

has anyone used heavier clutch springs along with drilling the cluth weights and if you have did it make a differance over just drilling the weights


'99 wolverine green
megamax 2 pipe
k&n jet kit
25" blackwaters on itp rims
peaa headlights
modified cluth (drilled weights)

What do u mean by drilling clucth weights.And how much did it help?I am asking b/c a friend of mine has a wolverine and he just put a k&n power up kit,and white brothers kit.He put 26" vampires on it and it doesn't have any low end power.if u would let me know how this helps it will be helpful.Thanx

you take and drill the five cluch weights with 3/16 drill and this lightens the weights to make them grab harder 26" vampires might be to much that will rob low end power i have 25"blackwaters after i drilled the weights i can brake the tires loose you wont do that with vampires they bite too hard a freind of mine had then on his grizzly and had a hard time braking them loosethey robbed alot of power drilling the weights is a major improvement a definate must

Where do you drill the weights?Is it a major mod and was it worth it?I'd like to do it just need more info on how to do it right.Please help

i drilled mine right on the wieght number, in all five it took about 20-30 min, its very easy. just make sure you have a sharp drill bit and clean all the metal flakes, before reinstalling.
