Default Raptor 700 Long Distance Ride?

For those that own Raptors, I'm curious how you like them for long distance rides meaning 40 - 60 miles or more. I've always wanted one but when I go riding out west normally Colorado or Utah I always have a 4x4 but I would love to have a sport bike that I could take to the dunes. But how do they perform riding mountain roads or desert type trails or roads as far as comfort. I realize taking supplies (fuel) along would be more of a challenge over my utility but I'm sure its possible. Let me know what your opinions are. Thanks.

Seems to me that you could mount up a small Rotopax can to the grab bar or someplace for extra fuel.

My Raptor was awesome in the mountain tho nothing beats ground clearance and IRS for rock mountain riding. If your easy on the throttle you can easily push the 60 mile mark on a tank of fuel in a Raptor but as i said the Raptor is not my first choice for riding in the mountains!

Seems like a honda trx700 would be a better choice since it has IRS.
