I hear ya Bird, but when your talking a difference of hundreds of hp than there is room for the p to w to be a non factor, but with the 80 vs Banshee we're talking a difference of 15-16 HP and the very large 250+ pounds.My point isn't that an 80 would kill the Shee or Raptor, my point is that an 80 will easily hang with them and even beat them, so a comparison between an ATV and a 125 or 250 is silly, I don't exaggerate or lie, I speak when I am certain and educated on the subject.A 125 or 250 point blank, plain and simple will dust an ATV, a 125 puts 35 HP to the rear wheel and weighs 200 Pounds less, so tell me how you think a Banshee or Raptor could possibly be faster?

I bet u a raptor will eat a 125 alive. THE 125 probly get the holeshot, intill the raptor starts grabing it will be gone. a stock 125 waii get dusted.

In an earlier post I stated that I had no doubt a 250 would be faster than a Raptor, but I didn't have any experience on the 125s so I'll keep my cake-hole shut. As far as the 80 goes, I feel comfortable speaking about it because my wife has had one. The Raptor defiantly feels faster, but we did not have the Raptor at the same time we had the 80, so I couldn't compare the two. If I were betting on the two (80 vs. Raptor) for a race across the field, I would go with the Raptor. Maybe it's just best if we agree to disagree and move on to another subject.

 

I've seen a 125 run with a 420 banshee.

 

Hey Bird, your one of only a couple people on this board who I know are knowledgable, so I didn't mean to offend you in any way.I was answering more than one post and not all of what I said was directed to you.I don't think we are disagreeing with each other.An 80 has a lower (stock gearing)top speed than a Raptor, but to that top speed the 80 will be faster, and you didn't say anything about a 125 and you agree, as any human that isn't retarded should, a 250 will dust any quad.All a person has to do is look at the numbers.

My friend use to have a yz125 and would beat a piped banshee with ease. Now that kid has a yz250f and beats a raptor with ease. The dirtbikes are a lot faster then any quad. Yes a raptor is fast in the quad world. But in a dirtbike world it would get blown away by bikes with 3 times less the cc.
