I'm sure they did. Polaris is still king in this segment. Yamaha has a long way to go to get this customer back into their showroom. The Viking is a formidable challenger to the Ranger but these huge vehicles are going to be a tough sell.

I've seen a couple of the 6 seat Rangers at the dealership being serviced. So someone buys them.

Polaris does make one. Slightly bigger motor at 900cc. Slightly (maybe a little more than that) more expensive at $16,199.

Don't know what the sales numbers are on them, but would almost think it would have been cheaper for Yamaha to let them have the market and save their money for something else.

What worksite would want the bucket seats, let alone gas job? Kubota makes a six seater with a Diesel engine, hydro trans and hydraulic attachments/bed tilt. I'd much rather have the Kubota regardless of the price

Regardless of the brand, if I'm not driving it I call shotgun. I feel sorry for the poor guy that has to ride in the middle of either seat.

Yea I wouldn't want either one of them, way too long to be practical but I think the kubota would be more much more useful for a job site. I don't know where the yamaha would be useful

Kubota's are work sight units. My friend has one. Its has a glass wind shield a 4 cylinder 900cc motor rated at 21hp but with gobs of torgue . Hydraulic power steering and dump box.
It takes 2.5 gallons of transmission fluid alone.
It only goes 25mph but it has a 1,500lb load capacity.

I could see this as a NASCAR taxi.

Those are nice machines, and they will last forever. I like the 3 seater versions but 6 seats in any of these things seems like overkill. The 25mph speed limit means that it can be driven on the road as a farm vehicle.
