So I made sure to get to a spot where I could cruise at 25MPH. In my opinion it does not sound like the engine is reving high to maintain that speed on somewhat level ground.
But at 40MPH it sounds like its working pretty hard. I did still have some throttle left to try cruising faster but couldn't find a long enough stretch of mostly flat trail/road to try.

You should be able to get around 55 mph out of a Grizzly 450. But its probably going to be screaming its guts out at that speed. My 660 will top out at 62 mph but it is really screaming at that speed too. It accelerates fine up until about 55 mph and from then on, it takes a lot to get it going faster. I don't like to run it that hard, its just too much stress on the engine to run wide open. The fastest I've had it up to since the new belt is 55 mph just to test it out and it still had plenty of throttle left. Handling is a bit sketchy at that speed anyway. I usually don't go any faster than maybe 45 mph. It can cruise all day long at that speed. I also owned a Wolverine 450 and it had great low and mid range power but it would barely do 50 mph on top end.
