Clutch nut imposible to get off!!!
#1
Ok I am changing my boss clutch on my Blaster. But there is only one problem. There is one nut that holds the clutch basket and boss clutch on. I can not get this nut off for my life. When I put Pressure on it it just turns the clutch and with a cheeter bar I actually spun the tires on the sment. I cannot get this nut off and was wondering if their was some special trick to do it. I dont want to resort to heat but thats about where I'm at right now. Thanks for any help.

when we took the clutch off my fourwheeler we had the same problem at first but what we did i think (i forgot what we did for sure but this is what i think) was i held the back brake as hard as i could while my dad turned the nut.

i had that same prob with my clutch. we took and put a ratchet on it and used a hammer. we gave it some real quick hard hits. it broke the bolt loose. that and (this isnt good for it) you can stick some soft metal or something hard in one of the gears to keep it from turning. hope this helps out any at all.

There is a tab on the nut to prevent it from backing off. Carefully bend it out of the way. There is a universal clutch holder, looks like a pair of vise grips with long nose. Hold it steady, and use an impact wrench like a butterfly impact. Comes right off.
