Default Looking for serial # on this thing

hi I just bought a old yamaha timberwolf. And for the life of me I can not the serial # . I looked all over the frame on the left side front tire area i can not find it xan anyone help me out? Thanks David

Should be on the left side by the gear shift.

Left side lower frame bar, just rear of where the lower control arm mounts.

Might have to clean it up a little bit, surface rust can make them hard to see on these older quads.

But unless someone has taken a grinder to the frame, that's where it should be. It's in the same spot on both my 98 Timberwolf and my 04 Bruin (must be a Yamaha thing)

Strange thing but I have come across a couple of Yams that don't seem to have a serial number. Dealer should need it to check the paperwork when selling a new bike, but neither I nor anyone else could find it on bikes we had in for repair, and wanted to check the bike's age when buying spares.
