Yes sir, I knew that. and 150 Celcius is really hot.

For those of you that have put a manual switch in, did you leave the existing sensor circuit in tact? I'm trying to think of a way to do that without interrupting the existing setup if I forget to turn on the fan and it gets real hot...

Can't say with absolute certainty it will work, but if you connect the switch in parallel with the existing temp switch, when off it still has the same setup as normal, when on it bypasses the temp switch and fetches the fan on.

Looks like the white wire is the wire that the temp sensor must be grounding out. If I ground it the fan comes on. So I should be able to put a switch inline with that and be good to go.

In series it won't work, all that does is switch the fan off altogether. Without the wiring diagram, I don't know what will work but Yams tend to send the fan wiring through the CDI so you have to be very careful not to send power backwards through it. Bruin diagram shows temp sender wires both go into CDI. Either a switch across these two wires going to temp sensor or, to be really safe, Bruin shows power from ignition switch goes through fan fuse then to a "fan motor circuit breaker" then to a relay, then to fan motor. If Warrior is the same, a switch bridging the wire going from circuit breaker to relay and the wire going from relay to fan motor, would work, and still allow the relay to work if your switch is off and the engine gets too hot.

I don't have a diagram, but thanks for the word of caution. I could just put a switch between the two wires going to the sensor, seems like the safest bet.

So I just tapped into each of the two wires off the temp sensor and ran them up to a switch on the dash, works like a charm.

The bare ends went to the switch.

Oil temp light comes on when switch is turned on.
