Yamaha Blaster Bogs
#1
Hey Everyone, first time posting!
I have a 2002 Blaster 200, it rode amazing until I had to do the first fill-up.
The oil injection thing has been deleted so I have to premix, which I messed up because then it would only start if the choke was completely out as soon as you put the choke in it would die. So I started it like that 2 or 3 times and decided not to ride it and risk breaking something.
Well, I drained the tank, put the correct mixture in 4 ounces of premix per gallon of 93 octane fuel. Changed the spark plug as well as clean the carb, now the only way to start it is by bump starting it but it just bogs and dies. Like I have my friend drive my truck and pull me behind with it and it will bump start but as soon as the truck slows to a stop it just bogs and dies and it will bog bad when I give it throttle. I am stumped...
If you have any advice or idea how to fix this all help is greatly appreciated thank you!!

Sounds more like the "first fill up" coincided with it pulling some dirt into the carb, if you had to go onto reserve before filling, very likely, as the res inlet is lower in the tank, down where the dirt is. Clean the carb out again and check if you put it back together right the first time. I go for removing float bowl and jets, bowing them and the holes they came from out with compressed air, nothing else, no rebuild kits, or messing with jet settings.
