I have a have a Yamaha warrior that I got from a friend and it ran perfectly till it was left in a feild and water got in the cylinder sleeve and destroyed the piston and cylinder sleeve, I got new ones and the quad ran perfect I rode it like 4 times for 5 min just to try and tune it I parked it and it wouldn't start the next day without starting fluid and when you get it started it will idle but when you give it gas it just died's it has spark and compression but won't run what should I do?

 

Clean the carb out and don't use starting fluid, bad enough on an old engine but worse on tight new rings and cylinder.

 

I've cleaned the carb out 5 times in the ultrasonic

 

I did have a weird fault on an Eiger. Rebuilt top end after it had stood outside for a while, and couldn't get it to rev after the rebuild. After several carb cleans and rechecking valve clearance and timing, someone else noticed at idle, there were no fumes coming from silencer. Took it off and the bike revved up fine, silencer had become blocked whilst outside, rodents or a baffle moved, who knows? A new silencer cured it.
