No power on 2022 Yamaha 450 kodiak in 4wd
I purchased a 2022 Yamaha 450 kodiak. It runs great but if you put it in reverse it starts sputtering and basically won’t even spin the tires does the same thing in 4WD it bogs down doesn’t have enough power to spin the tires in mud.
I know the override button works in all wheel drive is engaged but why does it loose power once 4WD is engaged or in reverse ?
even if you are in 2WD high range it will bog down. I have less than 150 miles on it. I have a service appt set for July 16th but wanted someone’s opinion . I feel it should have enough bower to at least spin the tires in mud.

Yamaha put things on to stop you going too fast in reverse. I think the rev limiter in reverse is set quite low. However this shouldn't be affected by 4WD so you may have an electrical fault. However it takes more power to loose traction in 4WD so there could be a fuel injection problem at higher revs. Your dealer should have some answers.
