I have a 2003 Kodiak 450 that I would like to register so I can ride trails. I have looked along all of the frame tubes without pulling all the plastics off and I cannot find the Vin number anywhere. I don't think it has been scratched off because the frame is in pretty good shape and does not look like it has been painted. I've looked between the a arms and frame, the sections that go vertical, around the engine, all over the back of the frame and it just isn't there. What am I missing?

 

Yams have VIN numbers in front of the LH footpeg on the lower frame tube. They are readable for a bout a month after the bike is sold, and disappear altogether within a few years.
