So about 5 years ago I bought one daughter a Bear Tracker 250 and she had minimal interest. So it sat. I've had it running a few times over the years but then it sat for about 2 years. Now youngest daughter wants to ride. New Battery, drained any remaining gas. Put new gas in it and fuel poured out the overflow, air intake and from the gas tank. New petcock in the tank and discovered a crack. Bought new fuel tank and worked on the carb ( for days) finally bought a carb off Amazon tank no longer leaks but carb does, I've since bought 2 more carbs ( even taking floats and needles and swapping them) I now have bought 3 carbs. I put the newest on last night and gas is still running put of the overflow and air inlet. I did notice the breather tube on the gas cap was stopped up and I cleaned it out but to no avail. You can turn on the gas and crank it and when fuel starts running out the carb turn it off and drive it.

After 4 carbs it seems to me like it has to be a vaccume line or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im thinking at this point its something simple im missing. Ive watched tons of videos and cant seem to find any help

It's an early 2000 Bear tracker that is in phenomenal shape for its age and i would love to get this thing going.

 

To get four carbs with leaky float needles doesn't sound plausible, so obvious question, are you sure you are connecting the carb to the tank via the right pipe? I have accidentally connected a breather line to tank by mistake if the breather pipes happen to be the same dia as the fuel pipe. If the tank to carb connection is right, remove float bowl and put carb back on, lift float with finger and turn fuel on. You can then see what is going on. Careful when lifting float if it has an adjustable float, dead easy to bend the tab and alter the float level by accident. If fuel is leaking past the needle, there must be a lot of dirt coming from tank and jamming the needles open, clean tank out as best you can and fit an in line filter, trouble with them is the paper ones air lock if run dry so, run out of fuel, turn tap to reserve and fuel still won't pass through the filter, but it is the only way to stop tank debris from getting stuck in the needle.

 

May try to turn fuel off at petcock and crank engine let engine run until engine dies and then try again run with petcock on see if leak is still there if so repeat again but this time rev engine up and when engine fixing to go dead open up petcock back on sometime this will pull anything like trash through and reseal float needle also sometime a dry float needle got to be liquid vaccum sealed and this will help also when atv or lawnmower gets haul on trailer or truck the unit will bouce going down the road causing needle to loose it seal and have to do this to reseal back.
