Where I ride there is a place we call "the steps". It is a series of 3-4 hillclimbs, each is about 70 ft long at about a 60-70 degree incline. I can do them no prob. All I do is lean forward, stand up and put all of youf wieght a little forward, not alot, but enough to keep traction with the front down. I'd say they do fine for a 2 stroke. As long as you stay in the powerband and feather the clutch at the peak you'll be fine.

Blasters do have light front ends compared to your wolverine. You can get used to them real quick.

Dirt817 good point about being on the powerband, that's part of what I was trying to say in my thread.

On my old blaster when I did hillclimbs, I used to go up sand hills at the local construction site. I usually had good luck in third gear pinned but there were a few times when I had to shift into second before I crested the top.

You can have fun or just make it. My blaster can climb up any hill starting from the bottom in 1st no problem. Or i cn get a run at it at hit it in any gear i want and go straight up. Just do not get really low rear gearing for it.

My $.02 would be to definitely stay away from a 14 tooth front sproket! I had one on my bike and it was scary trying to make up some steep hills... Keep it in the power-band and you'll do fine Im sure.

Off Subject question : Do yall think that tires make that big of a difference on sand/dirt hills??

Run a 16 tooth front, if anything cut down some teeth on the rear sprocket.
