Wife bought me 2001 Raptor..should I kill her?

Just took mine to the shop this morning. Talked to the service manager about the extended warranty since I only had until August 10th to get it. He told me that Yamaha is much easier to work with on warranty work even during the six month factory period if you have the warranty. He has replaced bent a-arms, etc. that were due to wrecks and abuse - said Yamaha agreed to cover the parts if the customer covered the labor. I can live with that. Obviously not all dealers are created equal. A local dealer wouldn't even take the time to tighten the axle nuts for me. Said it was normal to have play in the sprocket and brakes for high performance quads. I couldn't believe this because there isn't much difference between the axle on a quad and one on a Jeep. I guarantee that my Jeep with 35" tires and a 4:1 Teralow can put way more stress on the axle splines than any ol' Raptor.
The prices posted earlier for the Y.E.S. warranty are the same that were quoted to me today. I lucked out though and got the same pricing as if I purchased it back in February but that was the dealers decision.
I would agree with a few others. If you plan to put an exhaust on it, opening the airbox some, and rejet, then leave the factory gearing alone. If not, the 12 tooth will help in the tight trails.
Welcome to the 2001 Raptor club! Can't figure out why all these people want your wife though, she isn't gonna let you ride it anyhow. lol. She just got it to torment you somehow.

Sell the 01 to some rookie. trade in wife for a 03 le (just kidding). The yamaha y.e.s. program will not cover a tranny if you add an after market pipe, jet kit or filter. Pull out the spark arrestor if you can where you ride and go to 12 teeth front sprocket. it makes a big difference.
