and thank goodness I bought that warranty days before the factory warranty expired. BUT.......it was only a worn out 12 tooth front sprocket and the chain was skipping the links over the sprocket teeth under hard acceleration. How many keep a 17mm and could do a chain adjustment on the trail? I didn't think so. You won't be laughing at my water bottle/tool pack strapped to the front grab bar now. Tightened the chain, stayed off the jumps, and beat everyone back to the trailer. What a day! Yep, plugged a flat tire too on another quad and inflated with the CO2 pump that also turns into a regular hand pump when the CO2 is gone.
Back to the 13 tooth sprocket tomorrow along with adding the GYTR carbon fiber tip. Plan to get a new sprocket and chain kit with a 13/43 combination. Pro-Tec is going to modify my rear skidplate to make it work or I might get the aluminum one from RAD Manufacturing. Anyone try this one? It is a totally formed one piece skidplate with no welds. I tore up the DG in a month (what a waste of money). Same story for the DG on the two 400exs. The DG a-arm and frame skidplate have been fine along with the nerf bars. Just hate the DG swingarm skidplate. Around here, I call it the GD skidplates. Yep, Gosh Darn skidplates...just hanging in the garage waiting for a weld job.
Well, enough rambling. Hopefully when you think your tranny is gone, it is just a $7 sprocket too (Primary Drive from Rocky Mountain ATV).

Yeah, I bought those cheap *** sprockets too. You get what you pay for.
How's the suspension? I e-mailed Elka the other day no response yet, but I went to custom axis site and they explained that the comp. and rebound adj.
are relative to how fast or slow the susp. goes up or down. So basically if your just pushing on it in the driveway your not gonna notice.
This is just what I gathered from reading there manual online.
Elka should have something like that. Later
