Hum my vin is 3gd-159xxx that means its a 1996? Or later ? Enfin and frame are same vin... And its a grey frame blue plastic so that aint giving me much to work with

 

25 year old post. That isn't a VIN number, but Yam VINs are usually on the lower LH frame tube in front of the footpeg, and wear off, or rust out, in no time. Someone may have a list of later frame/engine numbers. Yam dealers certainly will.

 

Really that date 1999 is not a bug? I actually didn't know forum existed yet in 1999 i was 4 years old. (i know internet existed) but damnnn this forum older then Google it self?
Yeas my frame number is same as engine number like this post says.
And this is the most i found a other forum from 2019 has only till 1995 vin, that is 3gd-12xxxx
