As a matter of fact, we welcome the challange. NOTHING handles as well as a 400EX, NOTHING.

Thats a pretty bold thing to say considering you've never even seen a z400 perform to see how its handling will hold up. Personally looking at the 2 quads on paper I think that z400 will handle as well or better than the honda and you may be eating your own words.

Twist, You contradict yourself when you speak. If I shouldnt make the assumption that a 400EX handles better than a quad that isnt available yet, how can you look at specs and determine which is better? The 400EX is proven to be the best handling quad to date. The Z400 hasnt proven anthing yet. Do you think the designers of the DS and the Raptor initially said "lets make sure our quad doesnt handle as good as the 400EX." Of course not. They intended for them to handle better... but they dont. I am sure Suzuki wants their quad to handle as well or better than the 400EX. Good luck to them, but other have failed so it is up to the other manufacturers to prove they can make a quad that handles as well as a 400EX. It isnt up to Honda to continue to prove it is the best.

Go eat some more shrooms.

Sorry to wake some up, but the YAMAHA forum is NOT the only locality
where one can find posts of a bashing nature.

Honda could use the 450 or 650 engines in its new Quad, both would be
excellent choices.

Would the 650 be more powerful than the Raptor?
cannot honestly say, in bikes the XTZ660(produced over in Europe)
dose out muscle the XR650, but that is bikes not quads.

Would it handle better? cannot anwser that either.
But the 400EX dose not handle much better than the Raptor,
and in some cases the Raptor dose handle better.

The new Suzuki will most likely be very impressive.

The much loved/hated Raptor is a success reguardless if some like it
or not.

As is the 400EX.

As far as what the Mags say anyone can find something to justify
their view.

As far most Yamaha persons being "Immatue Flamers" NO.

Not one that I have seen ranted and raved about the Shootouts between
the 660 Grizz and the Praire 650.

Yet I can recall in previous shootouts when a more straight axel quad
with a stiffer suspension went against a IRS quad with a much smoother
ride.

The straight axle quad was quicker and had a higher top speed, like
the Praire

The IRS quad had a smoother ride and superior ground clearence, like
the Grizz.

But in this shootout the straight axle possesed a tighter turning
radius and lighter steering, unlike the Praire.

The IRS quad won this shootout, it was done in 98.

The 2001 shootout had the IRS quad(Grizzly) in 2nd place.

Did anyone see any excessive bashing?

It maybe off the subject but I defend the point, Yamaha fans are
NO worse than any other when it comes to such things.
