well, i sent my stock head pipe to jet hot about a month ago and first they qouted me a price of 75 bucks to coat it in ceramic. then when the pipe got there the price went to $100 the salesman said they made an error and gave me a price on a expansion chamber. it would cost more to do the inside of my pipe! ok. then 2 weeks later i get my pipe back and they forgot to do the inside!! so now i have to send it back i sent it out on 10-29-01 they got it on 11-01-01 i called yesterday he said it was due to ship on 11-12-01.

THIS HAS BEEN A MAJOR PAIN I DO NOT RECOMEND JET HOT

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with them. I sent my header in and they did it for $52 after the $20 coupon they send you in the mail. Mine was not a Y pipe like your Raptor is. I will say that I love this stuff and will be doing it to the Grizzly. You can almost touch the header and not feel any heat. Made my Rubicon run super cool.

I am glad to see your post. I have been looking for a box to ship my Raptor pipe in. I called about 10 days ago and asked about the price and they quoted me $95 for inside and out plus $22 shipping and confirmed it by mail. I am going to hold off a few more days and see if you get yours and if you are happy with the way it looks. I would like to see some pictures of it if that would be possible. I had planned on sending them pictures of the heat shields and FMF and get a quote on them also. Did you possibly do that also? Thanks

Get on their site and request info. They will mail you a $20 coupon. They will coat anything and the stuff is great!

yes i did send in the heat shield they charged $15 each. the pipe looks good i am just not happy with the turn around time. also it cost me $4.85 to send it ups they charge $26. to send it back. whats up with that??

they offer a 3 year warranty on the used pipe. i made them give me a lifetime for my trouble.
my total bill for pipe and heat shields with shipping was $160
as soon as BIG GUN gets the new quiet core out for 2002 that will be my silencer

You can also send your pipes to Big Gun and they will coat them. I have the header Jet Hot coated and run a Big Gun. I think the Jet Hot coating is better quality but with the two the exhaust is nice and cool. Watch your jetting because this should make you slightly leaner if I remember correctly.

redrocker, my wildskinz headlight covers look like. they are a black neoprean diving suit material with white slash on the front that looks like eyes they use a velcrow strap that hold them on easy on and off. i got them from my local yamaha dealer 23 bucks.
they help keep rocks and mud out of the lights!

John,

I will send you our full information package to get you all the coating
benefits in greater detail. It will not turn colors like chrome or
stainless. Also it keeps the pipes 25% cooler and gets you 1-3% extra
horsepower. Of course, it's highly rust resistant as well - 140x better
than paint. Because of that we expect it to increase part life be 10x or
more.

It would run $135 to coat your parts with our Sterling finish. From what I
remember the Raptor has two chambers, right? We'll need them here for 3-5
days plus shipping time. Return shipping would be $22.

All parts receive a 3 year unlimited guarantee that covers chipping,
peeling, cracking, discoloration, rusting - anything. New parts also get a
lifetime rust through warranty as well.

Please ship your parts to:

Jet Hot Coatings
5602 Orchard Rd
Pascagoula MS 39581

This is the quote I just got from them do they pick the price out of a hat?
