On your question on what the heck is &quot;fortin gears&quot; check out ATVSport Magazine Dec 01 issue. http://www.fortinracing.com/ makes the gears and shift forks Sam Coe Performance or Alba Action Sports can get them for you.

 

Outlaw ATV in New Jersey sells the fortin gear sets, I think the complete package is around 800 bucks or they sell half sets for around 450 732-786-0300:cool

I believe it was Xplor that started a post a while back for raptor owners to post their broken or failed parts. If I remember right, there were about 50 or 60 replies!
