i got my winch today and it came with the winch and all its stuff and i got the plate in another box. My 4wheeler has been at yamaha for 2 weeks due to my wire harness burning up. They ordered the new one i was suppose to get it today and they found out that more burnt. The relay and something else i forget what it was. But they say by next friday it should be done only if everything goes well. If not then he said the problem now from the burnt harness could be damage to the computer or the thing next to it. I also ordered vamps for it too but now have to bike to put them on

FYI-You can buy Warn & Superwinch mount plates with roller fairleads from Cabelas for $50-$60. Not bad considering you get the roller fairlead with it:

Hey, honda4ever, make sure that your dealer took the time to install the wiring correctly. Usually when we hear a wiring burning problem on a new winch, it was due to the dealer taking short cuts to cut down on installation time. They do this by wiring the winch directly to the battery instead of using the solenoid that it comes with. I know of two different dealers who are in the middle of lawsuits due to this, because the fourwheelers burnt to the ground. [same thing that will happen to the dealers when they go to court].

P.S. Also make sure that if they used a solenoid that it wasn't the one that warn did the recall on earlier this year.

No the wire harness on my 4wheeler burnt up ont the winch. The winch isn't on there yet its in my bedroom. What happened was the starter button broke and the contact inside stayed connected causing it to have a bad connection somewhere and it burnt. He said lucky i didn't catch it on fire cause the whole harness was like a big blob of melted wires. It looked like one big wire. They say the breakdown is that it was a bad starter switch. But its been there 2 weeks and i only was able to ride it for 1 and i just made my 1st payment on it. How fun.
