building a web site?
#1
I want a web site, but i am clueless. Can a computer idiot build one? Can you pay someone a small amount of money to do it? Do you have to pay a monthly fee? I want to put pics of quads, and my mx track on it. I let people ride on my property and it would be easier to post a web address on the gate explaining the rules etc. Nothing real eloberate. Any ideas? Where do you locate someone to build it. Thanks

14mins, you can build one like mine to start with for no$ and it can serve the purpose until you need a commercial one to really promote your track. I will be back soon or your wife could show you how to build one on MSN in just a few minutes. How is the track work plan going?

Dude,
Go to Yahoo.com and sign up for Geocities. You can get a free site there and everything is basically drag and drop.
You could also try www.homestead.com (where I have my sites). They have a free program too, but it is a little bit limited. Should be enough for a basic site with all of you pictures though. They are also drag and drop and it is incredibly easy to use. If you get a decent site built you can upgrade to homestead personal which gives you more features and it's only like a dollar and change per month.
I know html, but I use homestead because it's much quicker to drag and drop stuff. It is however, a little bit limited.

I program in HTML and Java. If you want a real quality and unique website, you have to build it yourself. If you can't code your own, building a site is also made easy with programs out today. Get on morpheus and look up dreamweaver. Very good program to build website, and if you get it off morpheus its free.
