KNOWSALOT,
Thanks for all the info on an earlier post about "How to become a dealer."
My next question is, are you a dealer and if so what program if any do you use to quote service repair? I know that auto repair shop's have a program that knows that a brake job bills 2.5 hours.
Is there anything like that on the market?
Thanks for the info,

As far as I know, the only manuals that include suggested labor hours for a repair are those provided by the OEMs to their dealers.
We have Honda,Yamaha,Kawasaki,Suzuki,KTM, and Cannondale. We have manuals form each of those companies. Just like the automotive industry, they are usually low compared to "actual" time in most cases. This is because the OEMs only pay dealers labor to repair a machine under warranty based on the labor time in their manual.
Do you think you could replace a Grizzly600 frame in 8 hours??
No dealer takes the manual's suggested time as gospel. Most usually add 10 or 15% to that time when making the initial labor quote in case of "run over time".
Independant shops might use something differently. You might want to check with one of those. There may be a company somewhere who makes a manual or software that includes these. I just don't know of one myself.
