Why would you need a balance pipe? Doesn't it use the same muffler chamber for both headers?

I didn't think of this then but why do you need a balance pipe on a sigle cylinder? I might be confused as to what a B pipe does, enlighten me.

Well..one cylinder or 2 doesnt matter...when theres to pipes..there never equal in pressure...so 1 may have a higher pressure than the other...with the balance pipe it will equalize the pressure between the pipes before reaching the muffler.. therefor giving you better flow and better sound.
